A person who creates music by writing or arranging musical pieces, controlling aspects like melody, harmony, rhythm, and timbre.
A symphony is an orchestra’s large-scale musical composition, usually requiring 50-80 instruments. Symphonies refer to the music, not the musicians performing it, and similar to stage plays, they may have several movements or acts of, often complex, elaborate classical music.
An orchestra is a group of musicians featuring a variety of instruments that play many genres of music, including symphonies, operas, and ballets. Orchestras can be used to accompany popular music and jazz as well. An orchestra can vary in size depending on what kind of music they are playing. Some compositions require a chamber orchestra, a group of approximately twenty to twenty-five musicians.
